China Press Covers Prestigious Lloyd’s List America Awards Gala

On May 23, Lloyd’s List Americas held its annual Awards Gala to honor excellence in the maritime industry. The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Dr. James S.C. Chao, Founder and Honorary Chairman of Foremost Group. In bestowing its highest honor to Dr. Chao, Lloyd’s List wanted to recognize the vast contributions Dr. Chao has made to the maritime industry. And, as mentioned in the China Press, Dr. Chao’s lifetime achievements extend also to philanthropy and advancing educational access and opportunities.

At the award gala, Dr. Chao acknowledged his late wife, Mrs. Ruth Mulan Chu Chao, and the tremendous support she provided to him. He said they were partners in the business, as well as in many charitable and advocacy efforts.
